Matthew Perry’s death was something Jennifer Aniston had ‘dreaded coming for 20 years’

As fans mourn the loss of actor Matthew Perry, his Friend’s co-star Jennifer Anniston is expected to take the tragic news especially hard as it

was a day “she had dreaded coming for 20 years.”

On Saturday afternoon, the actor died at the age of 54 after reportedly drowning in his hot tub. As Jennifer, along with her other fellow Friends co-stars, shared a loving statement following Matthew’s death, sources believe the actress is taking the news harder than anyone as she and Matthew shared a deep friendship and love for one another.

Matthew’s death comes after he shared a long, open struggle with drug and alcohol addiction. The actor opened up about the numerous times he narrowly escaped death in his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir during his years-long battle. After discovering the severity of Matthew’s addiction, Jennifer expressed deep concern, even breaking down in tears talking about it. A close friend of Jennifer said: “Nobody shed more tears for Matthew during the darkest points of his struggles with addiction than Jennifer.”
