Nicki Minaj Releases ‘Pink Friday 2’ Featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert

Nicki Minaj has released Pink Friday 2, a follow-up to her 2010 debut. Originally scheduled for an earlier release this year, Minaj delayed the

album due to various issues, including delays in vinyl production.

Released on Friday, coinciding with the 10-time Grammy nominee’s 41st birthday, ‘Pink Friday 2’ marks Minaj’s first full-length album since

‘Queen’ in 2018.

The journey to “Pink Friday 2” has been lengthy. Speculation among fans arose when the rapper posted a concise three-character message, “PF2,” during the summer of 2020. However, it wasn’t until June of this year that Minaj officially revealed the album title. The initial release date, set for October 20, faced two delays.

Leading up to the December launch of “Pink Friday 2,” Minaj’s devoted fanbase, known as Barbz, made waves by developing “Gag City,” a pink AI metropolis inspired by the album’s cover.

During the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September, Minaj not only hosted the event but also captivated the audience with a performance of her latest single, the ethereal “Last Time I Saw You,” while hinting at an upcoming energetic trap track from “Pink Friday 2.”
