Nicki Minaj takes aim at Megan Thee Stallion and Iggy Azalea on long-awaited Pink Friday 2… amid MIXED reaction from fans

Nicki Minaj appeared to take aim at her female rap rivals Megan Thee Stallion and Iggy Azalea on her new album Pink Friday 2.

The 10-time Grammy nominee released the highly anticipated fifth studio album on her 41st birthday on Friday and a few of the lyrics

seemingly contained shots at the artists.

On the track ‘FTCU’, which stands for ‘f*** the club up’, Nicki sets her sights on Megan Thee Stallion by referencing Tory Lanez, who was found guilty of shooting Megan in August

Fans were quick to pick up on the diss, taking to Twitter to express their reactions.

‘Lmao yes… she slapped Megan thee Stallion several times.. told that horse to stay in #ToryLanez,’ while another posted, ‘Nicki minaj is so obsessed with this one sided rap beef with megan.’

The 22-track release is stacked with guest contributors, including Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert and Future among others.

‘This entire album will be the biggest gift I have ever given humanity thus far,’ Nicki said in a recent livestream. ‘I have never in my life been so in love with something that I’m working on.’

Many of Nicki’s fans. called Barbz, were impressed by Pink Friday 2, with one writing on social media, ‘guys I’m still trying to process the fact the THEE nicki minaj dropped a NO SKIP 22 track album called pink friday 2. the more you listen to it the more you fall in love with it.’

Another shared, ‘Pink Friday 2 more like Queen 2; it’s not a bad album, it’s actually really good, but the title led everybody in a different direction.’

While many Barbz were ‘gagged’ — slang for ‘amazed’ — by the new release, others had a more lukewarm reception.

‘Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys at a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit,’ the rapper announced on her page.

Nicki’s last full studio album, Queen, was released in 2018.

‘I have never in my life been so in love with something that I’m working on,” the rapper has said.

She mentioned that the interval between albums was, in part, a result of experiencing writer’s block while she was pregnant.

Nicki and her husband Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty welcomed their baby on Wednesday, September 30, in Los Angeles.

Pink Friday 2 is a reference to her debut album, Pink Friday, which was released in 2010.

Her first single from Pink Friday 2, Super Freaky Girl, already debuted on the number one spot on the Billboard Top 100 back in 2022.
